After developing severe IBS in her mid-twenties, Jules Miller turned to supplements to help her symptoms. However she learnt that over 50% of the ingredients in those products were made up of fillers, preservatives, chemicals and sweeteners and they made her symptoms worse. Inspired by her grandfather, who was a chemist and lecturer at Cambridge University and would quite often create his own natural supplements, Jules started The Nue Co. in 2017 to create a line of efficacious supplements merging innovative science and nature.
The Nue Co. is a brand focused on driving real change, using the power of nature, calling upon inspiration from alternative medicine such as Ayurvedic Medicine and Chinese Medicine, but validating these principles with true science and testing. Their aim is to develop real solutions to health concerns, using only ingredients and materials that do not harm people or the planet; with 95% of materials being infinitely recyclable.
Lets talk gut health—how many of you are living with digestive issues including bloating, diarrhoea, constipation or IBS? Although they are common, they can often be avoidable. Whether it’s introducing digestive enzymes to your diet through supplements or fermented foods, or practising yoga poses for bloating, we explain everything you need to know about how the DEBLOAT+ formula works to ease bloating fast.
Can stress cause bloating?
Functional Medicine Nutritionist and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist Dana James explains that “If you’re stressed, you can alter the gut microbiome towards more pathogenic microbes (the organisms that cause disease). For a healthy gut microbiome, you’ll need to consider your thoughts just as much as what you put into your mouth. Cortisol, adrenaline, and nor-adrenaline (the stress hormones) can inhibit the proliferation of the ‘good’ bacteria and stimulate the proliferation of bad bacteria and yeast.”
Why do I get so bloated after I eat?
Bloating after eating can be caused by many factors, such as eating too quickly, drinking sparkling water alongside your meal or talking while eating which causes you to swallow air. Post-meal bloating can also suggest an insufficiency of digestive enzymes or a food sensitivity. Some foods such as beans, onions and broccoli are more likely to cause bloating due to the type of sugars they contain which are more tricky for the body to digest. Using DIGEST START and DEBLOAT+ can aid the body’s production of digestive enzymes to break down these foods.
Why is my stomach always bloated?
Chronic bloating can arise from a vast number of reasons, from medical conditions like IBS to lifestyle factors like continuous stress and tight clothing. Keeping a record of when your bloating flares up, what you’ve eaten and your mood when it happens can help you to identify triggers but if in doubt, consult your doctor.
How does DEBLOAT+ work?
DEBLOAT+ works quickly to help relieve bloating and heartburn. The proprietary blend of seventeen digestive enzymes helps to break down food and ease digestion, and organic Cinnamon, Ginger and Turmeric have anti-inflammatory and carminative properties to help break up gas in the gastrointestinal tract. We also include a clinically-studied licorice root extract which is traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for gastrointestinal issues.
DEBLOAT+ is also suitable for people with SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), since it does not contain inulin (our prebiotic) which can have issues for people with SIBO.
Why do I have to take DEBLOAT+ with food?
DEBLOAT+ contains a concentrated dose of digestive enzymes It is best to take digestive enzymes with food as that’s when they’re at their most effective. DEBLOAT+ without food could result in digestive discomfort.
Can I use DEBLOAT+ if I have constipation or diarrhoea?
Yes, you can.
How quickly will DEBLOAT+ work?
Results vary from person to person since your gut is a total unique environment. Most people see results within a couple of days, but we’d really recommend using DEBLOAT+ for at least one month before assessing how you feel. We find it’s helpful to note down your bloating / bathroom breaks / digestion a few times a week so that you can track results.
Do I have to take the capsules morning and evening? Can I not take them at lunch and dinner?
You can take them at any two meals throughout the day, we would just recommend following the guidelines and making sure you take them with food for best results.
